A Colonist's Opinion
After this event, we exchanged a few words with a great colonial leader, John Adams. He responded to our question on how he felt about the Sons of Liberty dumping the tea into the harbor with these words, "The people should never have rise without doing something to be remembered, something notable and striking. This destruction of the tea is so bold, so daring, so firm... it must have such important and lasting consequences that I can't help considering it a turning point in history." We can only guess that Britain will make us pay for this some way.
